This piece is called the "Tofino Tapestry of Elements" and it represents the culmination of all the elements that surround us when we are surfing out here in the Pacific Northwest.From every individual drop of rain that makes up the rivers, lakes and the ocean to the flora, fauna and minerals that define literally everything we can observe with all 5 of our senses both on land and in the sea.There is also an unfathomable amount of different wave energies around us at all times, some of which we can see and others that are invisible to the naked eye.Yet somehow in the complexity of it all there are these waves in the ocean that we can go out and catch a ride on and feel one of life's simplest pleasures, while an unfathomable mosaic of elements are interacting to create that experience.
